I just wanted to post an update about the Ebay situation I was experiencing. To see what I was talking about, please check out my post called, "Is Ebay even worth it?"
Like I mentioned in the previous post, the tracking number had been updated and showed that it was in another state.
Today, the item was delivered to the buyer. It took about 17 days to get there with parcel post. I have to say, isn't this ridiculous? When I called USPS, I spoke to a really rude woman that gave me no information. Why didn't she just tell the truth about their delays instead of getting attitude?
The buyer included the shipment and delivery date in the feedback. I think that is a big downfall of Ebay. So many people that purchase items on there seem to think that the seller can control how fast their item is delivered. They don't realize that the USPS controls that, and USPS makes it extremely hard on people that sell on Ebay. Obviously, this buyer felt like somehow I was responsible for the delay in delivery, despite the fact that the tracking number was updated along the way.
So anyhow, all is well that ends well I suppose. I checked out the feedback that this particular buyer left for other people. It's nice to know that I wasn't the only one blamed for the long delivery times. Apparently this buyer had purchased several items around the same time and the majority took weeks to get to her. Ironically, she left similar feedback for the other buyers as well.
