Tim Allen - The Man We Don't Know

Even if you didn't watch Home Improvement, you probably know Tim Allen from the show. At least that's what happened in my case. I never actually watched the show, but I know who he is.

Tim Allen (born Tim Allen Dick) strikes me as an All-American nice guy. So that's why I was so surprised to find out he's been arrested not once, but twice.




In October of 1978, Tim was arrested for possession of a pound and a half of cocaine. This happened in Detroit, Michigan. To avoid facing life in prison, Tim Allen chose to tell what he knew. It's been said that he reported 21 people that were involved with drugs. That's a lot. Due to this, he received a term for five years instead of more.

He ended up spending 2 1/2 years in jail? prison? before he was released. Sources don't say for sure which one it was. But it has been said that he was paroled after 2 1/2 years, so it makes you think prison.

He then went on to become famous. It makes you think a person would live, learn, and just be grateful for their second chance at life.

In 1997, Tim Allen was arrested again. This time was for drunk driving.

Since that time, there haven't been anymore arrests. A good sign I would say.

I recently watched Tim in Wild Hogs. He's really a funny actor, and hopefully he's now on the straight and narrow.
